A New Class of Blood Pressure Measurement Device
statMAP is a
handheld, battery operated device that electronically determines
systolic, diastolic, MAP and heart rate in a matter of seconds. Using a
hospital grade oscillometric step deflate method, motion artifact is
reduced, making it ideal for many clinical settings where stat vitals
are needed.

revolutionary new hospital grade blood pressure measurement device in a
hand-held electronic unit.
statMAP is designed
for use in a variety of settings, including EMS, military, hospitals and
clinics. Because it uses the oscillometric, step-deflate technique to
help reduce motion artifact, it is ideal for patient transport and
emergency departments. Its small size and battery operation (2xAAA),
allow statMAP to be used virtually anywhere.
statMAP is a “dual-mode”
device that combines the ability to do both manual and oscillometric BP
measurements with a single portable device. When the unit is powered
ON, statMAP is a state-of-the-art electronic device which has been
clinically tested and meets both AAMI and EHS BP accuracy standards.
When powered OFF, statMAP becomes a manual aneroid sphygmomanometer for
doing standard manual BP determinations using the palpatory or
auscultatory methods.
statMAP was
developed by Maynard Ramsey, MD, PhD, the founder of Ramsey Medical Inc
and an expert in blood pressure measurement. In 1976 Dr. Ramsey
invented the DINAMAP NIBP monitor. Today, DINAMAP technology is known
as the “gold standard” of NIBP measurement for hospital clinical use.
A statMAP system
includes the hand-held electronic device, a standard adult size cuff,
